Art of Tea in the Bamboo Garden 竹園品茗
Enjoy a slow afternoon of tea, palm leaf art, and community gathering. Amidst beautiful art, our resident T!C tea instructors, Alice Liu and Anna Ye, will brew and serve traditional Chinese teas. [10/21, 2-5PM] T!C Studio As part of the citywide Open House NY weekend, Think!Chinatown’s new art exhibition, “Between Line and Thread: Connecting the Asian American Arts Centre Collection” will be open to LES Arts & Culture Open House visitors from 2-5PM. Curator Sophia Ma will be in the studio to share how the exhibition explores the literal lines, threads, and metaphorical representations of connection in the works of the Asian American Arts Centre (AAAC) collection and the web between the works, artists, and organizations that made this exhibition possible. — Free with no RSVP required!

Story & Song Through the Generations 傳代的故事與歌曲

T!C-produced short films this season honors Nobuko Miyamoto, a musician who has filled the soundscape of the neighborhood. The screening will be followed by a special performance by treya lam and Taiyo Na, inspired by the songs included in the Yellow Pearl publication by Chris Kando Iijima, Joanne Nobuko Miyamoto, and "Charlie" Chin. Garden Concert 花園音樂會

Chinatown Arts Festival Benefit Party 華埠藝術節籌款晚會
[10/15, 5:30-9PM] Nine Orchard Hotel Support Think!Chinatown’s month-long festival of free programming featuring traditional Chinese arts groups along with emerging Asian American artists. Hosted by our friends and neighbors at Nine Orchard Hotel, in the historic Jarmulowsky Bank, let's celebrate our incredible arts community with a rooftop celebration! Enjoy panoramic views of Chinatown, groove to Mando- and Cantopop specially curated by YiuYiu 瑤瑤, and cultural performances featuring a contemporary twist on traditional Chinese dance by dancer Jiali Wang and live yangqin and erhu musicians under the beautifully restored dome. Dancing with the Red Silk Dancers at Pier 35 紅綢舞蹈團 民俗舞蹈工作坊
